Unlike traditional monohulls requiring 4/5 crew members, the JUNDA KII requires only 2 crew members, significantly reducing seasonal costs and acquisition expenses. Additionally, its streamlined crew management eliminates operational complexities, bridging the gap between amateur and professional sailors. The structural design and manufacturing is crafted with quality and functionality in mind, designed to optimize maneuvering for a two—person crew.

The founder
Ludovico Fassitelli
The visionary founder and CEO behind JUNDA, Ludovico Fassitelli has over four decades of achievements across multiple industries including sailing, rally racing, and entrepreneurship. From winning the Italian Laser championship in 1981 to becoming the Italian Rally Champion in 1992, Ludovico’s passion for speed and innovation knows no bounds. Alongside his wife Elena, he founded Stilo in 1999, a pioneering company in racing helmets and communication systems, ultimately leading to its acquisition by an American buyer in 2015. Now at the helm of JUNDA, Ludovico continues to push the boundaries of innovation within the sailing racing industry, recently being honored with the prestigious gold medal for sports merit from the Principality of Monaco in 2023, a testament to his dedication racing for the Monaco Yacht Club over the years.
Precision OF PRODUCTION: Strict Monotype
All Junda KII boats are designed and developed with complete precision and uniformity. The strict monotype emphasizes each detail with best-of-market materials including deck hardware by HARKEN, sheets and halyards VELAMANIA (the top pro version, pro rigger), 2-Piece Mast-boom-bowsprit by SELDÉN, electric engine by TORQUEEDO, navigation by VAKAROS, and RENEW recycled sails by NORTH SAILS.

After Ludovico Fasitelli spent seven Years racing keelboat monotypes, it was clear they are the best way to race:
- Real time with lots of close-quarters duels
- Suitable for everyone, all ages
- Technical and fun
But what could be improved? This was what led to the birth of KII: Analyzing what could be improved, identifying the solution, and implementing it.
Only two crew! The seasonal costs and management of a 4/5 monotype crew can be high, with difficulty in training, and limited driver’s role. JUNDA KII addresses these by solving:
- No issues with crew management
- Reduced gap between amateurs and professional crews, and increased value for helmsman
- Easy to train, possible to haul the boat with slipway
- Sharing purchase costs is more simple and natural (50/50)
